A winters walk

Tomorrow is the shortest day of the year in the northern hemisphere also the first day of winter. The forecast is for rain, rain and more rain right up till Christmas day so we thought we ought to take the chance for some fresh air whilst we could.

We went up to our local Trent Park, cool but sunny, not many people about, mostly dog walkers. On one of the ponds l saw this Coot who swam towards me, probably hoping for some food.
