Flood Control in Albir

This is our 'storm drain'.....about 4-5metres wide.....and for months, and years, it has rarely seen any water........
I took this photo at lunch time today; the water level has already fallen about a foot.
Rain water flows into it from the surrounding hills, and sea water flows into it when the sea is running with storm waves....
It quite literally saves our village from flooding.

It's lovely today, to see the blue sky again.....
.as on most of the Costa Blanca this is a cleaning up day .......washing away the mud and debris.
.......picking up...branches off trees, palm fronds
......drying out.....
Repairing will come later.....
