Not many better ways to spend a day...

A pre - Christmas catch up with family at Papamoa today, always lots of fun and laughter.  Jan and I had a wonderful walk around the Mount before lunch.  With a lot of the pohutukawa's  in flower,  a cloudless blue sky, and a clear and sparkling sea we agreed that there's really not many better ways to spend your day. The pohutukawa tree,  which flowers at this time of the year,  is an evergreen native mainly found in coastal areas and has brilliant crimson flowers, and is fondly known as the New Zealand Christmas tree. I can see us making a few more trips over there in the next few weeks.
