Tomatoes grown in the Isle of Wight are reckoned to be among the tastiest you’ll find anywhere.
They are grown in one of the sunniest parts of the Island, the south facing Arreton Downs, and have earned a reputation far and wide.
Chances are that tomatoes you buy in the big supermarkets are grown here, and they’ve won big favour at farmers’ and specialist food markets in London as well as the South Coast.
Their reputation lies in the flavour, reckoned to be much tastier than imported varieties.

I had the opportunity to visit Arreton Down a little while back, and have been a fan of the tomatoes ever since. Just delighted that I can buy them in my local market.
