Cockermouth Main Street

A Christmas tree always stands proudly in Main Street Cockermouth at this time of year.

After Storm Desmond hit Cockermouth last year, people were canoeing on Main Street and the Christmas tree had been washed away!

Within a few days another tree had been erected and the good people of Cockermouth were singing carols beside it!

We got back into our cottage just after Easter, but spare a thought for those 700 families in Cumbria who are still waiting to get back into their homes...
