And the winner is...

I spent the morning delivering a clock and setting it up.  It was a modern longcase that had been put together by its owner many years ago.  I actually spent more time disassembling and reassembling the case than servicing the mechanism.  Usually they just lift out but not this one!  There are a few illuminated homes on the way home but perhaps fewer than in previous years. This one is in the next village.  I have driven past them in the past week or so assessing their merits and declare this one the winner!
