Nativity in the Plaza

Wow! A full on day today. Church followed by a farewell lunch for our drummer and then the big ecumenical event held in DB, Nativity in the Plaza.

We were desperate for a Jospeh and Mary, and after much persuasion (and some bribery) Ben and friend Kelsey, surprisingly stepped in! Here's the whole Christmas story crew and the extra is Ben getting very broody with cute little baby Jesus! I'm serious, he held that baby close for nearly an hour, not sure Mary had as much time with Jesus as Jospeh did!!!

The event was well received by the community and I think the star of the show was our Pastor James. He did a marvellous job engaging the crowd and young ones and was even dancing and prancing around with the little toddlers, as he took requests for their favourite Christmas songs.

I was pretty beat by the end of the day.
