Day 353 of 366 - The Henry Ferrers Bedstead!

The image for today was taken this afternoon at the Baddesley Clinton National Trust property in Warwickshire. The view is of the the Four Poster bed that is situated in the Henry Ferrers bedroom. The bed nicely decorated for Christmas was constructed during the 19th Century using materials that dated back to the 17th Century. During the time that Henry Ferrers owned the property in the late 16th to early 17th Century, there were a lot of alterations made to the Manor House. These included the construction of Priest Hiding Holes, used to shelter Catholic Priests during the time that they were persecuted under the Rein of the Protestant Queen Elizabeth I.

The photo was taken using the app ProCamera on my iPhone 6.

First I used the app Snapseed to edit the photo. I Cropped the image and applied the Tonal Contrast filter. I then boosted the Contrast, Saturation, Ambiance and Warmth. I also decreased the Highlights a little and added some extra Structure to the image. Next I used the app Brushstroke to apply the Oil O4 painterly preset. Finally I used the app PhotoToaster to add the Contrast preset, the Yellow Tint FX and an Medium Dark Vignette. I then applied the Stucco texture and the Burlap frame.
