Outside our front door this winter jasmine is a cheerful welcome to visitors. It is flowering later this year because it had a harsh pruning a few months ago. It doesn't seem to have suffered.

I've been wrapping Christmas parcels this afternoon. I used to pride myself on my parcel wrapping but I seem to have got kack handed in my old age. They don't look as good as they used to. With a busy week ahead I wanted to get most of them done. I put some lovely Christmas choral music on to keep me company and Coco the cat sat beside me, checking I was doing it properly.
