Kinski and the butterfly

Is there anything more beautiful and poignant than the sequence in My Best Fiend when the butterfly lands on Kinski?

And then we hear Herzog's voice, and he is telling us all about it. Then, though the images on screen, we're watching Herzog film Kinski. Herzog is there but he's not there. It's a wonderful sleight of hand.
