Big leap

We went to an Addis Hash Harriers this weekend, as you may have read on Anj's blog. If you didn't, the Hash Harriers seem to be a worldwide group who use trail running as an excuse to party. A sadistic maniac dedicated veteran runner goes out in the morning, and marks out the running trail. Later in the day a group of novice mosochistic fools enthused and willing runners goes out and tries to follow the trail. Our trail started at 8200 feet, so it was just as well that route finding was challenging, involving fields, swamps, streams, thorny bushes, goat pastures and hyena dens (truly!). We all survived. If we go again, Aysha and Sunil will be kicking and screaming, but they managed quite well. Afterwards, there is lots of fun beer drinking, and hazing Hash virgins enthusiastically welcoming new participants!
