Another foggy morning
We woke up this morning feeling cold - I then discovered that all the power was off, including the heating. On investigation, Gavin discovered the power had tripped due to one socket circuit - so he then unplugged all the plugs in the rooms on that circuit and systematically plugged them in again one by one trying to identify which socket was at fault. We could not work it out, and eventually had to call out an electrician - who thankfully came within a few hours and found that it was our bathroom electric towel rails. It works on the heating system and also on an electric switch (for summer) so it still works now when the heating is on but we will need to get it fixed before the summer.
We then took Murdoch for a gentle walk - I say gentle as he has been limping for the past two days. It is getting much better and we think he has sprained his leg but we will keep an eye on it and if necessary take him to the vet if it persists. It was very foggy this morning, quite thick and damp, but wonderfully atmospheric.
Luke got home last night - his expected 4.5 hour journey from Durham took 7 hours, mainly because the M1 was closed on both sides in Leicestershire due to a collision. It is lovely to have him home again.
