Baby!

A little pigeon nested in the tree by our washing line a while ago. She was very nervous at first, but soon got used to our comings and goings. Today, I spotted her little chick. It's so ugly, it's cute!

We're hoping that the fact that she's flanked by big dogs on both sides will keep the cats out of the tree and give this little one a chance of survival. Great camouflage too; the only reason I knew the chick was there was because I often glance at the nest on my way past and saw that it wasn't Mum this time.

Little Miss has gone to her mum's wedding today. She's pumped and looking forward to dressing up and looking grown up. We're looking forward to hearing all about it and seeing the pics of our beautiful girl on her return.
