A Dark Day

I woke with a text from Mum, to say Grandma's nursing home's Christmas Party tonight was cancelled as they all have the norovirus, so the unit is closed. Not good.

Another text from my former boss with sad news.

Lazed around the flat in the morning, wrapped a few gifts to get to the post office.

Can't stop thinking about the work situation, even though not there.
It's  the Christmas work do tomorrow; an afternoon in Mimi's, from vouchers parents gave us in the summer.

Went food shopping then for a late lunch in café nero. Then a wander along the Water of Leith where this Heron was standing . At 3.15pm it was nearly dark.
