Hemerocallis aurantiaca...................

...........................a very long winded name for the Day Lily! A beautiful plant for either the herbaceous border or the water garden. It flowers for quite a long time but each flower lasts very briefly - maybe only a day - hence it's name but well worth growing. There are also rich red and yellow ones - both of which are growing in this garden but this one caught my eye particularly.

Bright sunny morning - and a nice breeze. Was very heavy rain in the night - must have been heavy 'cos' it woke me and that is most unusual but no sign this morning.
