A Revival for the Revival

This Dutch Colonial Revival house sports a bright red door with a holiday wreath. I am in Portland with Bluheron. While taking a long walk in her neighborhood we passed this home. Sue said that it had fallen into disrepair and a few years ago it was bought and lovingly restored. 

The side streets were pretty icy this afternoon and we watched several near misses as vehicles tried to ascend or descend steep streets.We did see two unfortunate collisions. I will be driving back out to the Gorge tomorrow and hoping the drive will be uneventful.
