Abstract Thursday

i experimented tonight with heart shaped bokeh for #A Year With My Camera. This uses a simple filter made from card with a heart shape cut out in the middle. Large aperture and out of focus should produce some lovely heart shaped bokeh from lights. This didn't come out as the brief intended but our outside Christmas tree lights provided a nice abstract for Abstract Thursday. I hadn't realised that I had a small extension tube still on the lens which is why the heart shape is well resolved. I only just read the theme is 'dots'. I guess i could say my dots are heart shaped. I will have another go at this interesting exercise - thanks to Ingeborg for hosting.
