New kid on the block
There's something completely indulgent about taking a day off in the week, isn't there? It all feels a bit naughty, especially when it involves a bacon and egg muffin in bed. Oh yeah.
The real aim of my day off was to go and meet Will, another beautiful addition to the Richards Family. He was super chilled out and happy to have cuddles and Esme was the perfect big sister, showering him with kisses and affection. My heart! A lovely time catching up with the Richards clan and a very good use of a morning off.
I then ran up Rodney's Pillar. I've been getting really bored with road running recently and have been pondering whether I might be better on trails. I think I've found my new love! So much fun. The uphill bits were hard and I thought I was going to die on several occasions but it was so satisfying to get to the top. I took a wrong route down (which is ridiculous on a hill I've been climbing all my life) but it took me down a new bit of forest which was beautiful. I loved the feeling of being properly out in nature, rather than pounding the streets of Shrews (lovely as they are). Can't wait to get planning some more runs.
Quick trip to Groove for a shower and to walk Moss dog. I could totally work part time.
