Of Sheep, Magpies, a Buzzard - and a Spider
With its overcast grey skies, today was not a good day for photographing the landscape at Sheffield Park. It was, however, suggested to me that I might capture some details of the Parkland instead - some magpies perched on the backs of sheep, or a buzzard on its regular perch at the top of a particular telegraph pole...
Unfortunately, when I arrived on the scene the sheep had already disappeared over the horizon, followed soon after my arrival by the magpies. The buzzard took one look at me, and was off.
However, it was then that I noted the webs on top of the uprights of some of the park railings - and then the maker of the webs, proudly surveying one of its creations...
