Modern movement

I have blipped some fine old movements but this is not one of them and I only blip it for comparison purposes.  It is well made and comes from an expensive modern longcase clock.  The movement is well made but the plates are thin and the materials used flimsy in comparison to older mechanisms.  This movement will probably last 50 years rather then several hundred.

I had a bit of a frustrating day.  I got messages from friends saying that my Facebook account had been hacked and someone was impersonating me. I had to spend quite a while sorting that out, changing security details and alerting Facebook so the account would get taken down.  I don't know how it was hacked so that is a bit concerning in case other accounts have been compromised without my knowledge.  I had to stay longer at Citizens Advice because a client was late and it was a complicated case which took a while to write up.  Then I collected my car from its service only to be told that one of the 'new' tyres was near its limit.  It transpired that Kwikfit had only changed one of the front tyres!  Still tea and a mince pie with C. and C. smoothed my ruffled feathers.
