Mincepie masterclass
On the way home from hospital this evening I called by at M's house to get a lesson on making mincepies - M makes extremely good ones! I was delighted to see that he uses a food processor for the whole thing. His pastry is always lovely and 'short' and I thought he must have a very light touch, but actually there's no touch at all!
Then....the hospital thing. I haven't been able to comment on any of your blips since Sunday - in fact, I haven't actually read any since then. The Ards Man had a 'cardiac event' while out cycling on Sunday morning and ended up being admitted to hospital. The poor soul was on a trolley in A&E for 30 hours before getting a bed on the cardiac ward. All the staff have been absolutely great, and there were even some familiar faces among the nurses, which was very reassuring.
So tomorrow he's scheduled to have an angiogram in a specialist hospital in Belfast. If he needs stents he'll be able to get them done there and then and may even get home a few hours later.
It has been a very strange week.
