That sinking feeling

Today we had a wee day trip to the Canal Fun Day at Linlithgow. Granny, Grandpa, Foreveryoung, Mr Foreveryoung, Eden, Ethan, Hubbie and I all went along.

The kids really enjoyed the Punch and Judy show although they gave up before the end of it. Ethan didn't enjoy the old fire engine quite so much. Grandpa paid the 50p donation for Ethan to sit in it and put a helmet on, only for Ethan to burst into tears and demand he get straight back off!

However the boat trips were a much bigger success. Ethan took lots of trips on the mini ferry across the canal and back and Grandpa, hubbie and I also took him on a 15 minute narrowboat ride which was a big hit.

The funniest bit though was watching the cardboard boat race and trying to predict which boats would sink and which would finish the course. We left before the end though as it was starting to rain and Ethan was starting to get a bit tired and grumpy.

But all in all a good day out.
