Solitude
Took this whilst waiting for colleagues to pick me up for a trip up to Irvine, Scotland. We were visiting to speak to another depot about their experiences with mobile working.
We had a wonderfully scenic drive up through the Yorkshire Dales, Cumbria and then in to Scotland. It took us about 7 hours. Sadly, I didn't find Irvine a place to get too excited about, but then we didn't see much of it.
Following dinner at our hotel we walked to the nearest pub where I had to endure the tedium of sitting through the Man Utd V Everton match. I was with six men and one woman who also enjoyed footie so sadly I was in a distinct minority. I hate football and had there been a set of spoons to hand I would gladly have scooped out my eyes just for some excitement (but then I would have struggled to take photos!).
We didn't have too late a night as we had an early start for our meeting tomorrow.
