North Beach, Iona

Took the dear old Isle of Mull CalMac early ferry over to Mull, bacon butties on board for brekkie. Mad drive across the south of the island to catch the little boat to Iona. Beautiful weather, sunny but not too hot for walking.

Iona is my favourite spot of all on this good earth.

Walked up to the stunning North Beach for picnic lunch, beachcoming and photo opportunities. This is my son, dedicated to his art:) and totally unfazed by being used as today's blip, even though he'll be the butt of many jokes in the pub for this.

Sunshine lasted right up to the moment we left Iona.

I'll put up other pics from today on Blipfolio tomorrow morning. Too tired from sea air, walking and laughing in good company. Thanks H, B and S for giving me my perfect day, and B for doing all the driving, to H for the comfort of fish and chips on the way home, and to S for her all round sense of fun and rapidly-becoming-famous quips.
