Over coffee we talked about our latest read, “The Woman Who Went To Bed For A Year” by Sue Townsend. Whilst enjoyed by some, it was most definitely not my cup of tea. Whereas the book that I last read with my Bath book group, “All The Light We Cannot See” by Anthony Doerr, I thoroughly recommend, as would all the group: the best book I’ve read in years, couldn’t put it down!

A beautiful, stunningly ambitious novel about a blind French girl and a German boy whose paths collide in occupied France as both try to survive the devastation of World War II.”
