Dropping a Clanger....

In pharmacy, whenever you sell drugs over the counter (as opposed to dispensing prescriptions) you have to ask certain questions about current medications, medical conditions, etc etc.

So today, when a hugely pregnant lady asked me if she could buy a product containing codeine, I had to tell her that in her condition, it wasn't at all advisable.

'I am NOT pregnant,' she spat, 'it's trapped wind!'

(Trapped wind? She must have been harbouring a small tornado........)

I haven't been so embarrassed since dealing recently with a lady who refused to mention her 'lady bits' by name, insisting instead, on referring to her 'fandango'!!!
