Faces...

... are what Tommy McHugh sees everywhere in his amazing artwork. Today he was being interviewed at his home for a film to be shown at a fundraising event for Neurosupport, so I tagged along to take a look too. His whole house is his creation, with every surface covered in vibrant paintings, poems and sculptures made out of, well, anything at all. I was particularly taken with this piece which he made by dripping wax onto a board little by little until he created this haunting image. He is so interesting, charismatic and articulate that he is a delight to interview. My own interview for the film will be tomorrow at Neurosupport and will be the exact opposite, if I can manage to speak at all that is.
