Christmas at Kew

We drove from our Hotel near the Excel in London to our hotel in Richmond, parked the car and headed out for the day.  The weather was fabulous.

We walked along the Thames for a while and then had some lunch, went to Kew Gardens for our day time visit.  Great place, must go in the summer!  We had to leave the gardens at 4.30pm before our Christmas a Kew Visit which was at 7.30pm so we headed for a couple of pubs and had a snack and a couple of pints.

Extra is of The Hive @ Kew, fascinating piece of art with a purpose of educating everyone about bees and pollination. 

Back to the hotel about 9.30pm having walked over 12 miles!
