Raffles, Singapore

Took the bus from our hotel down Orchard Road to Raffles Hotel for lunch.  Had a look around the shop there and then had a drink in the famous Long Bar and ate some of the customary nuts.  A delicious 4 course buffet curry in the Tiffin Room.  I had expected it to be very busy but it wasn't.

From Raffles we walked to Marina Bay and went up Skytower 1 to the 57th floor (fortunately it wasn’t a glass lift) which gave excellent view of the bay and city.  

We returned to our hotel using the MRT (tube system) which was very clean, quiet and cool.

Another excellent day.
