This is a highland midge.

Scourge of many an outdoorsy type....and the bastard that bites me whenever it can. In fact the only person I know who gets worse midge attacks is my Mum...she says its because of our sweet blood ;)

Dont worry...no-one was harmed during this photoshoot....it was on our living room window...I was inside and it wasnt.

Thank goodness.

the reason its this colour is because its so tiny I had my macro on full and needed to darken it a little so it wasnt really washed out
