London Day
SOOOOOO Interesting!
We took the early morning train down to the Big Smoke today, or London if you prefer.
We had to go to the Russian Tourist Office to sort out our visas. That necessitated our first visit to Notting Hill, and as far as we can work out, it all went well. Just got to wait for it all to come back to us now - hopefully before Christmas.
Then we wandered off down towards Kensington, browsing the antique shops as we went. There was one fabulous shop full of chandeliers which were due to have all the candles lit at 3.30pm as that was the shop's tradition in the war during Advent and they still do it now. Unfortunately, we couldn't be there at 3.30!
We were aiming for the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Exhibition at the Natural History Museum and what a treat that was! We met up with Chantler63 and spent a happy hour and a half looking at the images and trying to get a good shot of the interior of the museum. Some of the images in the exhibition made uncomfortable viewing, some of them were incredibly beautiful, and some obviously needed some very expensive bits of kit!
The Museum is such a beautiful building and as we were waiting outside, I was struck by the detail of the doorway - so that is the Blip for today.
