These are my favorite Christmas cookies - cinnamon wafers. Baked in a special waffle maker only used for this type of thin waffles.
I kind of made my own recipe (wholemeal and more adaptions); the outcome is not perfect (dough to heavy, waffles not thin and crisp enough), but they taste great! The waffle maker has 8 different patterns; the one with the tree and the birdie is my favorite one. 
I doubt they will be around long enough to see the weekend.
