2016 Saturday -- Evening Home

Sometimes an evening home provides a lovely relaxing moment, especially with all the activity of the upcoming holiday. And home is where we chose to be this evening. The warmth of the fire was comforting and the dancing flames were entertaining.

My semester ends this coming Wednesday. Can anyone hear my big sigh of relief. This has been a good semester, but time off is always my choice.

So, 2-months out of the classroom is coming right up. That did not used to happen. There was a time when our spring semester started in January. Then the college calendar was reconfigured so that the days were longer and the semesters shorter. That allowed for the 6-week winter session to be created and offered to students. I used to work all day long in the Writing Lab for a whole week or two weeks during winter session, but that's no longer available because the instructors who teach have Writing Lab connected to their class. So I take 2-months off and love every minute of it.

So the 2016 autumn semester is just about to be history.
