Milk, boot cleaning and Christmas trees!

I've blipped these little recesses outside the terrace houses in Saltaire before.  The one I blipped last time had bottles of milk in it, delivered by the milkman.  The general opinion was that in the past they were used for either jugs of milk, or they contained a boot scraper to clean your boots before you entered the house.  However, it appears that they are a very good place to pop a Christmas tree too!  

Wendles56 and I are meeting up tomorrow to ooo and aaahhhh... at the Saltaire Advent Windows - they're always a good blip op.!  We will be sniffing out some mulled wine too!  If you'd like to join us, and we hope you would, we're meeting outside Don't Tell Titus at 5.30pm.  Wooly hats and Cmas jumpers are compulsory :)
