Lovely end to the day

The weather was being kind to us today ....... a fair amount of sunshine & reasonably mild too!

So we headed out this afternoon to visit RSPB Frampton Marsh ...... on the lane approaching the reserve we saw 2 large flocks of Fieldfare ...... unfortunately I think they must have been camera shy as they flew off as soon as we were anywhere near! But at least we saw them!

We decided as it wasn't cold & windy (as is so often is there) ...... to give the hide a miss & walk along a different part of the reserve that we haven't been along before. There were hundreds of Lapwing flying in large flocks all around ..... so good to see so many as they have been declining in recent years. There was also a large flock of Wigeon & some Brent Geese. We also saw a Little Egret & a Kestrel flew by ...... quite a successful afternoon :-)

The sun was beginning to set as we started walking back ...... it looked so lovely that it just had to be my Blip (SOOC apart from a small crop) ...... do hope you like it :-)
