Here an' gone

The "highlight" of an otherwise grey, and murky day was the appearance of a Heron over the village. It came from the direction of the river, paused briefly on the roof of the Methodist Church before perching on this tree, just for a short while. I've occasionally seen them over the river, but never like this in the middle of the village. Not the clearest of shots with the subject 300 yards away
