One good tern ...

We had a fine day out today at Attenborough Nature Reserve in Nottinghamshire. No new birds, but some nice sightings including 2 kingfishers, plenty of Egyptian geese, little egrets, red crested pochard, lots of great crested grebe and a baby shrew which was in plain sight for quite a while scurrying down the path. The light wasn't really working for me today, however, (my best of the day was probably a banded demoiselle - can't blip that AGAIN) so I'm going with this common tern, simply because they are one of my favourite birds.
