Sometimes life is sad

Spent most of the day making cookies and truffles for Christmas and it was snowing so it made it seem very Christmasy. It should have been a fun though busy sort of day but it was all tinged with sadness. We heard that the son of a man we work with took his own life yesterday at the age of eighteen. It breaks my heart that so many young people see no better days ahead and I cannot imagine his parents loss. I needed to sneak a pic of Lucas, also 18, as he shoveled.
I got a few hugs from him today, God I love this boy. My thoughts and prayers are with the Colemans tonight and my heart is heavy for them:(
