An Evening at the Theatre

China - Day 7

Still in Guangzhou, we went to a show in the evening. The auditorium was vast, and packed - it was  Chinese National Holiday week. 

The production was colourful, noisy and pretty incomprehensible - episodes from the history of the Ming Dynasty, or some such theme. We loved it.

Photography was allowed - most of the people in front of us appeared to be watching via their phones. 

As the Grand Finale proceeded, the audience got up and left. By the time the lights went up our group were just about the only people left. Strange.
