Come Into my Parlour said the Spider to the Fly,

It's the prettiest little parlour, that ever you did spy,
The way into my parlour, is up a winding stair,
And I have many pretty things to show you when you're there,
Oh no no, said the little fly, to enter is in vain,
For who goes up your winding stair, will not come down again!

The sun was just sinking into the West as this gruesome scene was unfolding outside my kitchen window. The fly got trapped in the web and the spider came down to try wrap him up in more thread, but the fly fought back by beating his wings as fast as he could, effectively beating the spider back. The fly tired of course and the spider got his prize in the end.

I hope you like the rhyme, my Mum used to say it to me when I was little. I've always loved and remembered it, but for what reason, I do not know :-))
