It's not Edinburgh Castle

Two Saturdays left till Christmas (Ok I know it's three but I don't count Christmas Eve as I like to have everything done by close of day on the 23rd) and I was still fairly present-less. I don't mind online shopping but I needed some other inspiration too. Didn't fancy wandering the market at Edinburgh as it's far too busy at the weekends, so I Googled to see what else was on today. Came across an advert for a Christmas market at Glamis Castle. Right then, that was today's excursion sorted.

It was brilliant. So much better than I had imagined it might be (and so much less stressful than the Edinburgh one because it didn't have the dreadful crush of bodies). Part Farmer's Market (lots of things to taste and imbibe) and part independent crafters, it was a pleasure to stroll around. There was no bratwurst or gluwein but there was mulled cider from Thistly Cross and loaded chips with piri piri chicken sausage from a silver van which was just the business!
