Strange things

Up before lunchtime, on a Saturday.  Yes, I know!

Went into town on the train - was entertained by the life size cardboard cut out of Donald Trump that a group of passengers were transporting with them (see extras) - I think they were drinking.  It made me smile.

Managed to nail the final bits of Christmas shopping.

Home to find Corin in full DIY mode - finishing the understairs cupboard off (and having sliced his thumb open with quite a lot of blood spatter!).

Then one of James' friends came round to record a song with him whilst I lounged on the sofa watching another Netflix original series (Medici - I like it) and took a few ridiculous selfies with the cat (who seemed unimpressed - see the other extra!)

A walk for coffee after tea, then a walk to the supermarket for fruit cider. On the way back through the empty shopping centre, James duly obliged when I pointed out the giant bauble designed for children to climb into.  Well, he is a child.  Why not?

I am now drinking gin and tonic (the cider wasn't for me!) and contemplating a non-rock and roll early night.
