Rainy day

All week the forecast has been vile for Saturday. Because we didn't want to spoil a trip, we'd left the day for shopping and stuff.

It started with rain of the cats and dogs variety but it paused enough for us to catch the bus to The Forum. It's not the most wonderful Centre but it will do when it pours.

A pastel de nata and a few errands later, we ventured back out.

No rain.

We caught the bus to the Old Town and had a lovely sandwich (€3.50 for a fresh tuna steak or a scabbardfish in a lovely roll with lettuce and crisps). We sat in the sun (still armed with our macs and umbrellas. )

Still sun. So we walked along to the bus and now we're lazing on the balcony.

Schumann, a Portuguese composer Azevedo, and Beethoven in the delightful little opera house this evening.
