Sooty Gull
A very common Gull in Oman, and one that has a colourful beak. This Sooty Gull also has two other names it is known by Aden Gull, or Hemprich's Gull. This Gull is found from Bahrain to Yemen and is native to the Red Sea and the East Coast of Africa. It is a predator and scavenger and I'm afraid it has a taste for newly hatched turtles and the eggs and chicks of other sea birds.
