This afternoon my sister in law and her mother picked me up and we went to the movies in Nelson.  It was a good day to do that because it was windy and rainy.  Elsie, mother, assured me this wasn't Nelson weather :-) We saw Sunset Song.  It was beautifully filmed and the beauty of the natural landscape contrasted with the harshness of the story.  Also very well acted.  I found it's slow pace very satisfying.  
I have found the box of Christmas ornaments and this is the first one to be put out.  It is one bauble on a little metal tree and it reminds me of the Charlie Brown story/movie about the true meaning of Christmas.  Charlie Brown is depressed by the commercialization of Christmas.
