The famous pool

This morning we found something that has eluded us so many times, as our timing has never been right and because usually we avoid this stretch for fear of getting stuck in 'sinky' sand or pulled into the river (on the right), favouring instead the footpath that leads to the beach. But when the tide is out, I'm told that often this pool remains, and it's perfect for the dogs to have a paddle. I think it would be the ideal place to teach them how to swim, without anybody getting in the way and making us feel too self-conscious.

Of course, today we didn't have a toy to throw. Typical.
