Wisley

Do you know when you look at the calendar and realise that something you booked weeks ago has suddenly come round?  Well that's what has happened with a First Aid course we booked west of London.  We are trying to gear up enthusiasm and I'm sure we'll be fine once there but the journey down on the motorway was very busy and full of trucks, and we could have done with a weekend at home!

So before we checked in at the Woking Premier Inn (sounds exotic doesn't it?!) we called in at RHS Wisley and walked around the 'Christmas Glow' trail.  It's really meant to be seen in the dark when it is all lit up but, sadly, we were on a tight schedule so we enjoyed it in the sinking afternoon light.  More Wisley Christmas Glow blips are here!  It's a lovely place so I was persuaded to take out RHS membership which is a good excuse for visiting lots of gardens over this coming year.  We had a cuppa in the cafe before driving in to Woking.  Now we are taking it easy before an early up and a couple of days of injury and accident scenarios, oh joy!
