Advent Ring

A busy day down to near Wigan for a regional meeting.   Then back and spend some time with Kanyl.   That was followed by out to another meeting.

All this left little time for blipping.   All our married life we have had an advent ring.   For those not familiar with the concept it is a Christian symbol used during advent.  The main constituents are 5 candles one for each Sunday in advent and one for Christmas day.  Red is always in there as well.  Most I have seen have evergreen foliage as well.  All sorts of symbolism is attributed to each of the elements but whatever your stance on religion it makes a cheerful festive decoration.
