Maths in real life

In the midst of the chaos that this week has felt like we have been pursuing some active maths in the class. I planted this amaryllis several weeks ago and for ages it did very little , then suddenly at the end of last week it started to grow. 
We decided to do some measure and data handling and record Bob's growth ( name courtesy of the class :).
As you can see he's growing fast !
Mum much better tonight although back on her IV antibiotics and still getting oxygen.
