Oban

A quick side shot of the imposing Argyll Mansions. Built between 1905 and 1907 and described as " one of Scotland's finest tenements" They were the work of architect William Leiper who designed the famous Glasgow Templeton carpet factory.
In the 50's when my parents worked in Oban a photographer plied his trade outside Chalmers taking thousands of photos of Oban people and tourists. I must have dozens of ones he took of my mother and all her friends. I don't
know his name but someone local is bound to. Got o couple more Christmas things, tonight i hit the internet for the rest. Need to go as abbiedog has just puked her dinner over my shoe! Eeuch!
